SUMMARY:Advancing UK Wind Power Digital Conference
DESCRIPTION:Wind power is one of the largest sources of renewable energy in the UK and will play a key role in helping the UK to achieve net zero by 2050. But there are several challenges that the industry must address first – supply chain fragmentation\, grid connectivity\, future labour requirements and strict planning procedures. \nChaired by Lord Deben\, Chair\, Committee for Climate Change\, join Westminster Insight’s Advancing UK Wind Power Digital Conference to hear experts from government\, industry and civil society. Senior speakers from BEIS\, The Scottish Government\, Vestas\, The Crown Estate\, and the National Grid will share their insights alongside renewable energy industry experts. \nThis half-day event will be broadcast live from our interactive digital platform. Choose a content stream to attend live\, ask your questions and take part in discussions online. Event content will be available on demand for 14 days post-event via the online platform\, so you can replay any content you miss. \nThe Offshore stream will provide a progress update on the UK’s offshore wind sector deal and will look at how to prepare energy networks for the increase in capacity and navigate the environmental challenges. \nThe Onshore stream will cover the policy landscape and investment opportunities for onshore developers\, how to streamline the consenting and planning process and gain local support. \nDiscover how industry can work with UK communities and government to ensure the sustainable growth of wind power.
