SUMMARY:Baltic Power Offshore Wind Supply Chain Meeting 2021
DESCRIPTION:Baltic Power Offshore Wind Supply Chain Meeting 2021 is another in a series of a online events dedicated to companies interested in supply chain cooperation for Baltic Power – a joint venture offshore wind farm project of PKN ORLEN and Northland Power. \nBaltic Power is currently the most dynamically developing project in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea. It is not only a key element of ORLEN Group’s green transformation\, one of the most important projects executed in Europe by Northland Power\, but also a milestone in the transformation of the Polish energy sector. In 2024\, we will start the construction of an offshore wind farm with a capacity of up to 1.2 GW\, which will ultimately supply up to one million households with clean electricity. \nOffshore wind energy in the Baltic Sea represents an opportunity to build a new industry. Its development requires a strong and efficient supply chain. Large investments in this sector will translate into development of hundreds of enterprises and creation of thousands of well-paid jobs. \nIn December 2020\, during the first of the organised events\, its participants could find out\, among other things\, what the Baltic Power project implementation schedule looks like\, learn about the principles of the procurement processes in force and find out more about ORLEN Group’s plans to develop the offshore wind area. During this year’s edition\, participants will have the opportunity to find out\, among other things\, what the current schedule of project implementation looks like and to learn about detailed requirements\, expectations and plans for each of the seven so-called installation packages. The discussion of each of the packages will constitute a separate event\, thus giving the opportunity to take part in each of the meetings and ask in-depth questions to the managers responsible for them. \nAgenda: \nDay 1 \nPart 1 \n10:00 – 10:20 Development perspective for the offshore wind farms in Poland\n10:20 – 10:35 Baltic Power – project summary and information on progress\n10:35 – 10:50 Northland Power – JV partner for Baltic Power project\n10:50 – 11:20 Process of planning and executing OWF projects – how it works \nPart 2 \n11:20 – 11:40 Baltic Power procurment and Supply Chain Plan and presentation\n11:40 – 11:55 Q&A session\n11:55 – 12:00 Break \nPart 3  \n12:00 – 12:40 Package presentation – Turbines\n12:40 – 13:20 Package presentation – Foundations\n13:20 – 13:55 Package presentation – O&M Base \nDay 2 \n10:00 – 10:50 Package presentation – Offshore substation\n10:50 – 11:30 Package presentation – Cables\n11:30 – 12:10 Package presentation – Onshore substation\n12:10 – 12:45 Package presentation – Transport\, Installation and Logistics \n\nDuring the event\, each company will also get the opportunity to create its own unique bookmark with a presentation of the company: its experience\, areas of business activity\, potential cooperation and contact in case of interest from other entities. In this way\, each of the participating companies will gain access to unique knowledge about other companies in the market and to a network of entities interested in supply chain cooperation for the Baltic Power project. \n  \nBaltic Power Sp. z o.o. announces its intention to hold a dialogue with potential suppliers of materials and services for its offshore wind farm project under development\, pursuant to Article 46 of the Act of 17 December 2020 on the promotion of electricity generation at offshore wind farms.  \nThe subject of the dialogue will be to provide potential suppliers with information about the project and requirements for supplies and services necessary for its implementation.
