DESCRIPTION:The EU has ambitious climate targets for 2030 and is committed to becoming climate-neutral by 2050. Renewable energy will play an important role in reaching this high ambition. We are all aware that the time frame for reducing carbon dioxide emissions is shrinking and we are also all aware that the need for more electric energy will increase. Topic of the meeting: offshore wind energy. BalticWind.EU will be represented by its Founder and Managing Director\, Paweł Wróbel. \nContext: \n– 2020: the Commission adopted an EU wide Strategy to harness the potential of offshore renewable energy for a climate neutral future \n– July 2021: publication of the fit for 55 package by the European Commission \n– October 2021: adoption of a new work programme in the Baltic Sea region dedicated to offshore wind within the framework of the High Level Group on the Baltic energy market interconnection plan \nFrom 9:00am to: 11:00 am
