SUMMARY:BALTIC POWER SUPPLY CHAIN MEETING 2022
DESCRIPTION:Baltic Power Suppliers Day 2022: Meet the Buyer Conference is another in a series of events dedicated to companies interested in cooperating within the supply chain for Baltic Power – a joint offshore wind farm project between PKN ORLEN and Northland Power. \nImplementation of the project is not only a key element of ORLEN Group’s transformation\, but also one of the most important projects implemented in Europe by Northland Power and a milestone in the development of the Polish energy sector. As early as 2024\, we will start the construction of an offshore wind farm with a capacity of up to 1.2 GW\, which will ultimately supply more than 1.5 million households with clean electricity. \nScheduled for 19 October 2022\, the meeting will be the third event dedicated to building the value chain of the offshore wind industry in Poland and the first to be organised in a stationary format. Unlike previous years’ editions\, during which participants were informed\, among other things\, about the project schedule and key purchasing processes\, the 2022 edition also changes its formula and puts our key suppliers at the centre. During the event\, it will be the Tier 1 suppliers who will present information on cooperation opportunities\, requirements\, purchasing processes and schedules for the individual installation packages. \nBaltic Power Suppliers Day 2022: Meet the Buyer Conference is first and foremost an opportunity to establish new business relationships with the project’s key suppliers and other companies interested in supply chain cooperation for Baltic Power. Therefore\, after the main part of the presentation\, we will invite you to  so-called 1-on-1 meetings with representatives of all key project suppliers. In addition to this\, we have included in our agenda as much time as possible to enable meetings and discussions between all participants of the event. In this way\, we want to provide you with access to a unique network of companies interested in working together in the supply chain for the project and more broadly in the offshore wind sector. \nPlease note: The number of participants at the conference is limited. For this reason\, we ask that individual companies limit their representation to a maximum of 3 delegates. Once you have registered for the event and it has been confirmed by our team\, you will gain access to a closed part of the platform where\, in addition to information about the participating companies\, you will find a calendar for booking appointments with representatives of the main suppliers for individual meetings. For those who\, for various reasons\, will not be able to attend the event\, we will provide f a full video of the event\, which will be available on our platform. There will also be information on how to get in touch with the companies even after the conference. \nWe encourage you to register and see you on 19 October in Sopot!

SUMMARY:Speeding up Nature Positive Offshore Energy Infrastructure Deployment
DESCRIPTION:A conference discussing the challenges and solutions to accelerate offshore energy infrastructure deployment while restoring Europe’s seas \n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\nOn 19 October\, join the Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI)\, WindEurope and the Offshore Coalition for Energy and Nature (OCEaN) in Brussels for a conference discussing challenges and possible solutions to accelerate offshore energy infrastructure deployment while also restoring Europe’s marine ecosystems. \nThe combined crises of climate change\, biodiversity\, and energy security require an acceleration of renewable energy and electricity grids deployment\, with offshore wind playing an increasingly relevant contribution in reaching renewable energy targets. However\, the degraded state of our marine ecosystems requires due consideration: offshore wind energy projects and connecting grid infrastructure\, when properly planned and deployed\, can and should instrumentally contribute to the restoration of our seas and become nature positive. \nTo reconcile potential conflicts between nature and energy infrastructure and reduce risk of delays\, careful and comprehensive planning needs to be undertaken and identified solutions need to be deployed at scale by permitting authorities and project developers alike as part of the timely achievement of EU’s renewable energy and nature restoration goals. \nWe therefore invite you to register for our event to learn about the joint solutions for implementing\, financing\, and disseminating practices on nature positive offshore energy and grid infrastructure.
