DESCRIPTION:On 25 – 26 April 2023\, the European Commission\, in close cooperation with the German Ministries and with the support of the BlueMissionBANOS Co-ordination and Support Action for the Baltic & North Sea\, will organise the event Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030”: The Baltic North Sea lighthouse in action. \nThis event\, taking place at the Factory Hammerbrooklyn in Hamburg\, aims to mobilise the communities of actors and foster their actions to implement the Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030”\, and particularly the Baltic North Sea lighthouse. \nThe event will focus on the political commitments to implement the Mission\, and agree on concrete measures and actions in the Baltic North Sea basin\, particularly to make the blue economy carbon-neutral and circular. \nPlease note that due to the room capacity\, a first come first serve principle will be applied. \nYou will receive final confirmation of the acceptance of your registration once approved. \nShould you not be able to attend this event in person\, you will have the possibility to join virtually. \n  \nREGISTER HERE: https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/RegistrationPaxHamburg

SUMMARY:WindEurope’s 2023 Annual Event in Copenhagen
DESCRIPTION:We’re living through turbulent times. In recent months we’ve seen conflict in Ukraine\, spiralling costs\, worries about energy security\, and a push for new sources of energy. And as we come together as an industry\, the need to decarbonise comes with a new dimension. With electricity prices through the roof\, we’ve got to deliver clean\, homegrown\, reliable\, and affordable energy for all Europeans. Wind energy has to take the lead\, driving Europe’s response to this energy crisis and safeguarding European livelihoods. \nThe stakes have never been higher. In April 2023\, in Copenhagen\, we’ll have a lot to discuss. \nCONFERENCE PROGRAM \nAt this year’s conference\, we’ll be looking at how to deliver a rapid buildout of wind and doubling down on the major obstacles. We recognise that the objectives set out in REPowerEU – the EU’s energy response to the current crisis – aren’t necessarily being deployed on the ground. Many obstacles remain. And our goal now is to tackle these head on – and get wind on the path to growth. \nSome of the key focuses include:\n\nSlow and cumbersome permitting + insufficient market scale\nThe supply chain – and how to ramp it up\nOther societal interests – and how to engage with them\nHow to accelerate grid deployment\nEngaging the demand side\n\nAs an attendee\, you can look forward to 50+ sessions across three days\, where we’ll be delving into the biggest issues in wind today. We’ll be joined by speakers from Europe and beyond\, from policy to industry\, education to finance\, and from local authorities right up to European and international bodies. \nEvery link in the value chain will make themselves heard – so make sure you get your word in too! \nWe’ve developed this in close collaboration with hundreds of experts from across the industry and academia\, as well as with our Working Groups\, Event Ambassadors and Content Partners. Our Programme Committee has been vital in shaping the scope of the conference.
