How the Belgian and German offshore industry are powering the maritime energy transition for a sustainable future energy supply together<\/p>\n
You may have got wind of this already: Since Belgium installed its first offshore wind farm in 2009 at the same time with Germany which was strongly supported by WAB and its members, it has been at the forefront of international developments.<\/p>\n
Belgium is further solidifying and expanding its pioneering role in offshore wind energy by investing in infrastructure, capacity, innovation, knowledge and cross-border partnerships. West Flanders has transformed into an offshore wind energy hotspot, bringing together private, public and academic sectors in long-term innovation projects. The epicenter of this knowledge hub is situated in the Ostend region, including the Port of Ostend.<\/p>\n
The regional development agency POM West Flanders, e-BO Enterprises, Sirris and DEME are looking forward to contributing to the most important communication platform for the Offshore wind energy industry:<\/p>\n
