The first day of the conference will focus on the external experience and technological developments in wind energy, and will be predominantly in English.
We are looking for answers to questions:
How have the wind energy flagships of the Netherlands and the UK built up their own large-scale wind energy sector?
How have the Netherlands and the UK engaged communities and made wind farms part of the community?
What are the new wind turbines today and what technology can be expected in new wind farms in Estonia?
How can security of supply be ensured through large-scale storage?
How can unmanaged wind farms be seamlessly connected to the national grid?
The second day will focus inwards and we will design Estonia’s own wind energy model. The second day of the conference will be predominantly in Estonian.
We will look for answers to these questions:
What do Estonians think about wind energy today?
Does the local benefit model create common goals for the community and the wind farm?
What are the new jobs in wind energy?
What are the constraints today and tomorrow, and how can we find common ground between the different goals and objectives of the country?
What is the best wind energy development model for Estonia?

An exhibition area will be open to showcase Estonian wind energy projects and innovative solutions.
The conference is free of charge.
The conference will be chaired by Johannes Tralla.
The conference is organised by the Estonian Wind Energy Association, Taltech, the British Embassy in Estonia and the Embassy of the Netherlands.
