The Juniewicze wind farm is the fourth wind farm completed in Poland by OX2, a leading RES developer and leader in terms of completed wind investments in Europe. The 16 wind turbines, with a total capacity of 48 MW, will power about 32,000 households annually. The official opening of Juniewicze WF in Mazovia took place on May 22.

The investment was carried out in the municipality of Huszlew in the Łosice district. The wind farm will produce about 139 GWh annually. This amount of energy will help power nearly 32,000 households, which will avoid the emissions of about 22,000 tons of CO2 each year.

– The Juniewicze wind farm is OX2’s next step in Poland’s growing and dynamic renewable energy market. We will continue to develop our organization and OX2’s project portfolio in Poland, thus contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions and decarbonization – said Paul Stormoen, CEO of OX2.

OX2 was responsible for the development and construction of the Juniewicze Wind Farm for investor Octopus Energy Generation, and is currently responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind farm. The project consists of 16 wind turbines, with a capacity of 3 MW each. The total height of each turbine reaches nearly 180 meters, consisting of 120-meter towers and 60-meter long blades.

– We are developing a portfolio of wind, photovoltaic and energy storage projects in Poland with a total capacity of more than 3 GW. The Juniewicze Wind Farm is our largest wind project completed to date in Poland. This is also another step towards increasing the availability of green energy, as well as increasing the share of renewable energy in the national energy mix – stressed Katarzyna Suchcicka, President of OX2 Poland.

The Juniewicze WF is the fourth wind power plant completed by OX2 in Poland. The company has so far commissioned wind farms with a total capacity of more than 130 MW. Three more projects are under construction in Wysoka, Kraśnik and Bejsce with a total capacity of more than 106 MW. As in all regions where OX2 develops projects, in the Huszlev municipality the company has also developed local infrastructure and supported the local community.

OX2 has built a portfolio of projects in Poland with a total capacity of about 3.1 GW, consisting of wind projects of nearly 850 MW, photovoltaic projects of more than 1.7 GW and energy storage of more than 550 MW. The company is currently constructing three more wind projects and a photovoltaic farm.
