Together with its partner Polenergia Group, Equinor has submitted to the Energy Regulatory Office the first prequalification application for an offshore auction in Poland – for the Bałtyk 1 project, the largest and most advanced Phase II wind farm in the Polish Baltic Sea.

The President of the ERO has officially announced the first auction for offshore wind power in Poland, opening a new chapter in the history of our country’s energy transition. Bałtyk 1 is ready to participate in this groundbreaking process! This step paves the way for participation in the first competitive auction to identify the most efficient offshore projects.

Bałtyk 1 in numbers:

  • Power up to 1560 MW
  • Green energy for up to 2 million households
  • Central Shoal, ~81 km from the coast
  • All key permits and formal readiness

Bałtyk 1 is Equinor’s third project in the Baltic, after Bałtyk 2 and 3 – which together will provide 3 GW of power that will make a real difference in Poland’s energy mix.
