Szczecin will host the conference “BALTIC – SEE WHAT’S GOING ON Exploring Security, Connectivity and Economic Resilience in the Baltic Sea Region,” which will take place on June 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the conference room of the Marshal’s Office of the West Pomeranian Province. The event aims to exchange knowledge and experiences between the public and private sectors in the field of economic and geopolitical security in the Baltic Sea region, as well as to build resilience and common solutions for the region.

The conference is international in nature and is the last event under the honorary patronage of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU. In addition, the honorary patronage was taken over by the West Pomeranian Governor and the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Province, Olgierd Geblewicz.

Speakers will include: Mantas Adomenas (former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Secretary General of the Community of Democracies), Cordelia Buchman Ponczek (Finnish Institute of International Affairs), Piotr Szymański (Center for Eastern Studies), and Grzegorz Wrochna (President of the Polish Space Agency in 2021-2025, Director of the National Center for Nuclear Research in 2011-2015). The panel sessions will be moderated by Hubert Czyżewski (Director of the Warsaw Office of Aspen Institute Central Europe), Zuzanna Nowak (Director of Analysis at The Opportunity Institute for Foreign Affairs) and Zuzanna Krzątała (Sustainability Manager at Vogue Polska).

The conference is organized by the Aspen Institute Central Europe, the Opportunity Institute for Foreign Affairs, and the Northern Chamber of Commerce. The event partners are Strategy Wise Public Affairs & Communications, Community Of Democracies, Wise Europa, and Western Pomerania.

The conference program includes a strategic panel on security, NATO, the EU, and the new Baltic economy, as well as a business panel, “Baltic Connect,” dedicated to supporting trade, technology, and transportation in a secure region. There will also be a closed discussion, “On the Way Towards the Baltic Economic Congress.”
