The Freeport of Riga Authority announces an open international competition to select investors & manufacturers of wind turbine components for leasing new port infrastructure and land to support production and logistics of wind technology and its components in Kundziņsala – The New Riga Industrial Center.
Over the next few years, the Port of Riga will build new, purpose built high-capacity (25t/m2) port infrastructure, including deep-sea quay, RoRo ramp, logistics & storage areas, and lease it to at least two clean technology manufacturers.
This strategic project aims to strengthen the European Union’s critically important marine and coastal wind technology supply chain, attracting manufacturers of offshore and onshore wind energy technologies and components.
By developing a large-scale green industrial area for onshore and offshore manufacturing in Kundziņsala, the Port of Riga is creating a dynamic environment for sustainable production, innovation, and growth in the heart of Northern Europe.
