Berlin-based operations manager windpunx has added 287 MW of wind capacity to its portfolio since the start of 2026 and has a further 161 MW under signed contract, the company said ahead of the WindEnergy Hamburg trade fair. It now provides technical operations management for more than 1,200 turbines with a combined capacity of 2.85 GW in Germany and other European markets.
windpunx handles technical and commercial operations management for onshore wind farms of different manufacturers and sizes. The company says almost 200 clients use its services, with some contracts running for up to 15 years. Its quality management system is certified to ISO 9001.
“At the start of the year we announced that we were aligning our structures for growth. Today that growth is becoming visible in our portfolio and in new long-term partnerships,” said Heinz-Georg Strickmann, managing director of windpunx, solarpunx and Aurevo Energy.
Alongside the portfolio growth, the company is developing AI-supported operations management and data-based services with start-ups and technology partners. These include digital tools for reporting, analysis and portfolio management intended to flag technical anomalies earlier and speed up operational decisions.
windpunx belongs to the Saxovent Renewables group, which will exhibit at WindEnergy Hamburg from 22 to 25 September in Hall A1, stand 430, together with solarpunx, Saxovent Renewables and Aurevo Energy. The group positions Saxovent Renewables as project developer, Aurevo Energy in portfolio and asset management, windpunx in wind operations management and solarpunx in photovoltaics and O&M.
The figures point to continued consolidation in Germany’s third-party operations management market as the onshore fleet ages and owners look to independent service providers to run mixed-manufacturer portfolios.
