TotalEnergies has restructured its integrated power activities in Germany into a single new unit, Integrated Power Germany, bringing together renewables developer VSB, energy trading platforms Kyon Energy and QUADRA energy Sales & Origination, and the group’s German offshore wind business — including projects in the North and Baltic Seas.

The new unit spans the renewable power value chain: development, realisation and operation of wind and solar projects, large-scale battery storage, direct marketing and aggregation of renewable electricity, and the development of offshore wind projects in the North and Baltic Seas. Alexandre Duret-Proux has been named Managing Director of TotalEnergies Integrated Power Germany.

“The new structure creates clarity and added strength combined with VSB’s strengths: more than 30 years of experience developing, realising and operating wind and solar projects,” said Thomas Winkler, managing director of VSB in Germany. “For municipalities, landowners, project partners and investors, this means VSB continues to combine local project expertise with the financial strength, market presence and integrated power know-how of TotalEnergies.”

The move follows three acquisitions in three years — QUADRA energy in 2023, Kyon Energy in 2024 and the VSB Group in 2025 — through which TotalEnergies has built up its presence in the German power market. The group is targeting global net power production of more than 100 TWh a year by 2030, with around two-thirds from renewable sources; it says Germany plays a central role in that plan given the size of its market, its renewable energy targets and its growing need for flexibility.
