German renewables developer Navaris has been awarded 304.5 MW across 11 onshore wind projects in the latest federal onshore wind auction, securing every megawatt it bid for just days after its parent platform completed a rebrand from Qualitas Energy.
The awards cover 46 turbines and equal more than 12 percent of the round’s total awarded volume. Once built, the projects are expected to supply enough power for around 200,000 households and contribute to regional decarbonisation and Germany’s national climate targets.
The federal grid regulator, Bundesnetzagentur, awarded 237 of 461 submitted bids in the round, totalling 2,523 MW of a 5,250 MW submitted volume. Navaris’s award alone equals more than 10 percent of the entire round’s result.
The result comes just days after Qualitas Energy’s German platform completed its rebrand to Navaris, consolidating teams, projects and expertise built up since 2018 with a clear focus on the German renewables market. “The award of 100 percent of our submitted bids is an outstanding achievement and a strong confirmation of the quality of our project portfolio, our development expertise and the commitment of our teams across Germany,” said Johannes Overbeck, CEO of Navaris.
Navaris now manages 1.3 GW of renewable energy assets in operation or under construction, and more than 3 GW in advanced development, with more than 200 staff across six German locations including Berlin, Hamburg, Wiesbaden, Trier, Cologne and Stuttgart.
