Nordex has expanded its Delta4000 turbine platform with a new model, the N193/7.X, combining a 193-metre rotor with a rated capacity of up to 7.3 MW for medium and low-wind sites.
The turbine pairs a 193-metre rotor with 95-metre single-piece blades and is designed to deliver up to 14% higher yield than its predecessor, the N175/6.X, at typical low-to-medium wind locations. For the German market, Nordex will initially offer the turbine at a maximum of 6.6 MW, a configuration intended to balance project economics with grid connection and permitting requirements.
“The N193/7.X is the next chapter in the Delta4000 platform’s success story,” said Nordex chief executive José Luis Blanco, adding that the turbine builds on proven technology while adding targeted upgrades for yield, permittability and cost efficiency. Core components — including the nacelle, turbine control and electrical architecture — carry over from the existing Delta4000 platform, and the turbine will be offered with multiple tower technologies and hub heights.
Series production of the N193/7.X is scheduled to begin in 2029. Nordex has installed more than 64 GW of capacity across more than 40 markets since 1985 and reported group revenue of around €7.6 billion in 2025.
