Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) has agreed to acquire a 50 per cent stake in OffshoreCrew AS, a Norwegian recruitment and crewing company based in Kristiansand. The deal was announced on 29 September 2026; financial terms were not disclosed in the release.

OffshoreCrew supplies personnel for offshore vessels and projects in oil and gas, offshore wind and subsea operations, and says it holds a database of around 30,000 offshore professionals, with main operations in the North Sea. BSM, which manages a fleet of 700 vessels with 40,000 crew, has focused on technical and crew management for the global maritime industry. The stake lets it offer individual specialists such as dynamic positioning operators and crane operators across a wider range of offshore units, from recruitment and staffing through to crew management and full technical management.

“This investment allows us to respond faster and more flexibly to our customers’ needs, particularly in dynamic offshore markets,” said Sebastian von Hardenberg, CEO of BSM. Javier Zahn, CEO and Managing Director of OffshoreCrew, said the partnership would help the company reach a broader international client base. Both companies point to offshore wind as one of the markets where faster mobilisation of qualified crews matters, as Baltic and North Sea projects compete for the same pool of skilled offshore personnel.
