Nordex Group received several orders at the end of September to supply and install 35 wind turbines with a combined capacity of about 228 MW in a number of European countries, the Hamburg-based manufacturer said on 6 October. The contracts also include service agreements with terms of up to 25 years.
Nordex did not name the customers, the projects or the countries involved. The turbines are of the N175/6.X, N163/6.X and N149/4.X types, which the company says are matched to the wind conditions at each site.
Some of the turbines will be delivered in a cold-climate version fitted with the Nordex Advanced Anti-Icing System. According to the company, the system lets turbines keep running in icing conditions and can cut icing-related production losses by up to 80 per cent. That is relevant for sites in the northern Baltic region, where winter output is often limited by ice.
Nordex reported group sales of about EUR 7.6 billion in 2025 and has installed more than 64 GW of wind capacity in over 40 markets. Its product range focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 7 MW-plus classes.
