Ørsted has published a report marking 15 years of its presence in Poland. Titled “15 lat Ørsted w Polsce. Siła ludzi, energia transformacji” (15 years of Ørsted in Poland: the strength of people, the energy of transition), it looks back at the company’s development in the country and its role in Poland’s energy transition.

According to the company, the report traces how Ørsted’s role changed over the period, from building its first teams and expertise in Warsaw to taking part in the growth of Poland’s offshore wind sector. It also describes the effect of that activity on domestic companies, the labour market, regions and the economy.

Topics covered include the development of the local supply chain, new skills and career paths, investment in port and service infrastructure, cooperation with universities, and the importance of offshore wind for local economies. Ørsted points to its more than 30 years of experience in offshore wind and the transfer of knowledge and standards to the Polish market.

One of the report’s main conclusions, in Ørsted’s words, is that energy projects leave behind a lasting base of skills, companies and experience that can support Poland’s energy transition in the years ahead. The figures in the report are Ørsted’s own and were not independently verified.

The report is available on the company’s Polish website, together with photo and video material.
