The largest batch of over 100 towers for the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm will be manufactured at the Gdańsk facility. Installation of the 107 Baltica 2 turbines is planned for 2027.
“We are pleased to note the inclusion of another Polish company in the Baltica 2 project. It is particularly important to us that the next key components to be installed in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea will be manufactured in domestic facilities. Offshore wind energy projects require the highest standards of quality and precision. Baltic Towers’ participation in the supply of towers—the basic structural elements of offshore wind turbines—confirms that the Gdańsk facility meets the most demanding international standards and successfully competes with leading global suppliers. “This cooperation is also a tangible result of our consistent efforts to raise awareness among global partners regarding the importance of integrating domestic industry into projects that shape the future of the Polish energy sector,” said Dariusz Lubera, President of the Management Board of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna.
The announcement of the signing of the agreement between Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Baltic Towers took place during Power Connect in Gdańsk.
