DenkerWulf has ordered nine Nordex N149/5.X turbines, with a combined capacity of 51.3 MW, for the Bredenbek wind farm in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district of Schleswig-Holstein, Nordex announced on 27 October.
Each turbine has a rated output of 5.7 MW and a hub height of 105 metres. Construction is scheduled to begin in autumn 2027, with the first turbine due to be commissioned in December 2027. The order includes a 20-year Premium Service agreement for the turbines.
Bredenbek continues the cooperation between the two companies in the northern German state. At the end of 2025, Nordex received orders from DenkerWulf totalling more than 122 MW for three other wind farms in Schleswig-Holstein.
“Behind every wind farm there is an intensive planning and development phase,” said Jann Peter Freese-Harelik, project manager at DenkerWulf. He said the company was taking the next step towards realisation with a partner it has worked with on numerous projects.
Karsten Brüggemann, Vice President Region Central at Nordex Group, said each additional kilowatt-hour generated from wind strengthens energy sovereignty and reduces dependence on imported energy sources.
According to the company, DenkerWulf has built more than 970 turbines with over 2.25 GW of installed capacity across ten German federal states. Schleswig-Holstein, which borders both the Baltic and the North Sea, is one of Germany’s main onshore wind regions.
