Ocean Winds has laid the cornerstone for an operations and maintenance base in Władysławowo, Poland, that will serve as the long-term operational hub for its BC-Wind offshore wind farm.
The ceremony, which included the signing of a foundation deed, was attended by Ocean Winds representatives together with invited guests from local and regional authorities. The company said the base would function as the main operational, logistics and service facility for BC-Wind for decades to come.
The base construction follows BC-Wind’s entry into its construction phase earlier this year, and comes months after Ocean Winds won an IJGlobal award for the project’s financing structure.
The Władysławowo base underscores the build-out of onshore service infrastructure along Poland’s coast as its first offshore wind projects move from construction toward operation.
