The Maritime University of Szczecin and the Marshal’s Office of the West Pomeranian Region invite you to take part in the fifth edition of the Trends and Visions for Offshore Wind Energy Development’ competition. The competition is aimed at secondary school pupils, students and PhD students. Competition entries can be submitted until 21 February 2025.
Participants in the competition can look forward to attractive prizes, which include both financial and material support. Prizes have been planned in two main categories: for students and PhD students, and for secondary school students.
Financial prizes are available in both categories. There will be prizes worth a total of PLN 10 000 for students and PhD students, and vouchers for students to purchase electronic equipment.
In addition, there will be prizes in kind (smartwatches) and statues for the winners. The students in the top 10 places will receive a ‘virtual index’ for any course of study at the Maritime University of Szczecin. There will be internships and specialised training with Windhunter Academy for students and PhD students.
Aim of the competition
The aim of the competition is to popularise renewable energy, in particular energy from offshore wind farms. The competition is international and participants can submit their innovative ideas for increasing the efficiency and use of renewable energy sources.
How to participate?
To participate, you need to prepare a presentation (max. 10 slides or 10 minutes) and send it to konkurs@pm.szczecin.pl by 21 February 2025. The best ideas will advance to the online presentation stage, which will take place from 26 February to 7 March 2025. The results will be announced on 14 March 2025.
