As a result of the qualification process, the Supervisory Board of PGE Baltica sp. z o.o. has appointed Bartosz Fedurek to the company’s Management Board, as announced by the company this morning. Bartosz Fedurek will begin work as President of the Management Board on May 6 this year. He has been involved in the energy industry for more than a dozen years and has already served on the Board of PGE Baltica in the past.
In 2008 Bartosz Fedurek joined PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna as a strategy and business development manager in the Strategy & Investment Department. After four years, he was promoted to Deputy & Acting Head of the department.
From 2014 to 2020, he was Head of Investments at PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna. In March 2020, he became Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at PGE Baltica.
After leaving PGE in October 2021, he joined the Danish company Ørsted as Development Project Director. In turn, he has served as Managing Director Poland at EDP Renewables since April 2023, and has been President of EDP Renewables Poland Holdco since August of the same year.
PGE Baltica was established in January 2019 as the company responsible for the implementation of the PGE Capital Group’s Offshore Program. It coordinates preparations for the construction of three wind farms:
- Baltica-1 Wind Farm with a capacity of up to 896 MW.
- Baltica-2 Wind Farm with a capacity of up to 1,489 MW.
- Baltica-3 Wind Farm with a capacity of up to 1,036 MW.
PGE Baltica and the special purpose companies are owned by the PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA.
The Offshore Program calls for the construction of two offshore wind farms with a total capacity of up to 2.5 GW by 2030, and another with a capacity of 0.9 GW after 2030. PGE also holds permits for the development of five more areas in the Baltic Sea with a total potential of more than 3.9 GW, making the PGE Capital Group the leader of the offshore wind sector in Poland in terms of planned offshore capacity to be built.
