The study aims to gather critical baseline data on the status of key marine species—grey seals, ringed seals, and potentially harbour porpoises—prior to any development activities in and around the designated ELWIND offshore sites in Estonia and Latvia.
The study is done for both Estonian and Latvian areas together and it includes:
- Assessing the abunance of grey seals
- Marine usage study
- Transboundary impact assessment
- and an assessment of potential cumulative impacts
