Europe’s wind industry is preparing for one of its flagship gatherings as more than 16,000 participants and 500 exhibitors head to IFEMA Madrid for WindEurope’s Annual Event 2026, taking place from 21 to 23 April 2026.
This year’s edition brings together the full wind value chain at a pivotal moment for Europe’s energy transition. Attendees can expect high-level policy debates, major corporate announcements, technical deep dives, and unmatched networking opportunities with industry leaders from across the continent.
To support the event’s mission and strengthen its visibility, WindEurope has introduced its Event Ambassadors: four global clean-energy leaders who embody the innovation and ambition driving Europe’s renewable transition.
Meet the 2026 Event Ambassadors
EDP – Accelerating Global Decarbonisation
EDP is one of the world’s greenest utilities, operating 32 GW of installed capacity, nearly 90 percent from renewable sources. With operations worldwide and a target of net-zero by 2040, EDP continues to push the boundaries of clean energy and empower communities in the transition.
Iberdrola – Electrification at Global Scale
Iberdrola is a global leader in renewables, grids, and storage, with a strong presence across dozens of countries. As one of the world’s largest electricity companies, and with ambitions to reach 100 GW of renewable capacity, Iberdrola champions the expansion of wind power and the electrification of Europe’s economy.
RWE – Powering the Transition with Large-Scale Renewables
RWE employs 20,000 people in almost 30 countries and is rapidly expanding its wind, solar, and storage portfolio. The company is committed to phasing out coal by 2030 and achieving net-zero by 2040, contributing industrial scale to Europe’s clean energy ambitions.
Siemens Gamesa – 40 Years of Wind Leadership
With 148 GW installed globally and 29,000 experts, Siemens Gamesa has shaped the evolution of wind technology for over four decades. The company remains a cornerstone of both onshore and offshore innovation, delivering reliable, cost-effective wind solutions worldwide.
A Strategic Moment for Europe’s Wind Sector
WindEurope 2026 comes at a crucial time as Europe works to strengthen its renewable supply chains, accelerate permitting, and scale offshore wind deployment in every basin — including the Baltic Sea.
The newly announced Event Ambassadors highlight the breadth of expertise and leadership that will define this year’s gathering.
BalticWind.EU will continue to provide updates on programme developments, key announcements, and insights relevant to the Baltic offshore wind market as the event approaches.
