Vestas, a global leader in wind turbine manufacturing, today announced a package of three new orders in Northern and Central Europe with a total capacity of 191 MW. The key element of the announcement is a 32 MW contract in Poland and projects in Germany, including a significant repowering project.

The orders, which are included in the Q4 order intake, represent another step in strengthening onshore wind energy in the region.

Investment in Poland: 32 MW in the Lubień project

The latest order in Poland concerns the Lubień project with a capacity of 32 MW. The investment will be carried out on behalf of FW LUBIEŃ 1 SP. Z o.o. /Greenvolt Power Group Sp. z o.o.

  • Number and type of turbines: 8 units of the V150-4.0 MW model.
  • Service: 20-year AOM 5000 Service Agreement, ensuring long-term optimisation and operational predictability.
  • Schedule: Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with the wind farm scheduled to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2027.

Projects in Germany: 159 MW, including repowering

The remaining orders, with a total capacity of 159 MW, are for Germany, where Vestas is involved in both new projects and repowering.

Project Customer Capacity (MW) Turbine type Service contract Schedule
Schnabelwaid Uhl Windkraft 79 MW 11 x V172-7.2 MW 25-year AOM 5000 Delivery Q1 2027, Commissioning Q3 2027
Reinstedt Repowering wpd GmbH 80 MW 11 x V162-6.2 MW, 2 x V150-6.0 MW 15-year AOM 4000 Delivery Q2 2026, Commissioning Q4 2026

The 80 MW Reinstedt Repowering project is particularly significant for the German market, confirming the trend of replacing older turbines with modern, high-efficiency units to maximise energy production on existing sites.

New orders, including a key project in Poland, highlight the dynamic growth of onshore wind energy in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region and Vestas’ commitment to providing technologically advanced solutions that support the energy transition.
