German onshore developer Alterric has increased its syndicated green loan facility from €300m to €350m. Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank has joined the existing consortium of Commerzbank and ING and is taking on the additional €50m.
The unsecured facility was signed in December 2025 and runs for three years, with options to extend by up to two more. The company said the increase is intended to align its financing headroom with the size of its development pipeline.
In the most recent onshore wind auction round held by the Bundesnetzagentur, Alterric secured awards for six sites with a combined capacity of 242 MW. Its total pipeline stands at around 11,000 MW. The company is also converting existing sites into integrated energy parks that combine wind, photovoltaics and battery storage.
“With the increase to €350m we are aligning our financing framework with our current project pipeline,” said Ingmar Schmitt, Chief Financial Officer of Alterric. “The accession of Crédit Agricole CIB as a further partner in the banking consortium, and the confidence of the consortium as a whole, confirm Alterric’s delivery capability.”
Alterric develops and operates onshore wind and hybrid parks in Germany, France and Greece, with more than 2,500 MW installed in its own portfolio and around 600 staff across 19 German sites and offices abroad. It is a joint venture of the Aloys Wobben Stiftung and EWE AG. Germany remains the largest onshore wind market on the Baltic rim, and access to unsecured corporate-level green debt is becoming a differentiator for developers moving from single-technology wind farms towards hybrid parks with storage.
