German wind developer ENOVA has established a new company, ENOVA Generation GmbH, to hold and expand a portfolio of operating onshore wind farms in Germany. ENOVA Value, the vehicle financed by ENOVA and Omnes Capital, has transferred eleven wind farms with a combined capacity of around 350 MW into the new platform.

The majority shareholder in ENOVA Generation is the infrastructure investor Sosteneo SGR S.p.A., part of Generali Investments Holding. ENOVA retains a minority stake and continues to run operations, project execution and coordination with all project partners. The stated aim is to build the platform up to 1 GW by acquiring further ready-to-build and operating projects, both from ENOVA Value and from third parties.

“With ENOVA Generation we are opening the next chapter and gaining a long-term partner in Sosteneo for our mature portfolio,” said Hauke Brümmer, CEO of the ENOVA Group. Federica Gallina, Head of Investment and Portfolio Management at Sosteneo, said ENOVA’s local expertise and delivery record in repowering, combined with Sosteneo’s experience as a renewables infrastructure investor, would add value for investors while advancing Germany’s energy transition.

The deal gives ENOVA three financing partnerships aimed at different stages of the wind lifecycle: ENOVA IPP with Signal Iduna, developing projects in the Weser-Ems region towards 300 MW by 2028; ENOVA Value with Omnes Capital, which has acquired around 70 wind farms and project rights since 2020; and now ENOVA Generation with Sosteneo for ready-to-build and operating assets.

ENOVA already operates more than 1 GW of onshore wind in Germany, supplying roughly one million households, and says it wants to reach 3 GW and 5 billion euros of assets under management by the end of 2030. The consolidation underlines how institutional capital is increasingly moving into mature German onshore fleets, a trend with direct bearing on the wider Baltic Sea region’s push to decarbonise its power supply.
