A new service company has entered the German wind sector. scopea GmbH, based in Berlin, brings together measurement technology, operational analysis and technical optimisation with independent expert assessments for wind energy projects. The company will formally launch at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026.
scopea aims to serve project developers, operators, investors and lenders across the life cycle of a wind farm. In the development phase, it offers noise, shadow flicker, turbulence and energy-yield assessments, which underpin permitting and risk evaluation. Once turbines are operating, the company runs measurement campaigns and technical analyses to identify sources of underperformance and derive corrective measures.
The firm’s specialists focus on yield optimisation through vibration analysis, performance studies and rotor imbalance measurements. Its teams work both in Germany and abroad. According to the company, combining independent assessments with hands-on measurement allows anomalies in turbine operation to be evaluated not only technically but also in terms of their effect on yield, availability and noise emissions, while planning-stage assumptions can be checked against real operating data.
“Gaps arise between planning and operation; we close them,” said Georg Meyer, managing director of scopea. “scopea combines consistent data with technical expertise from a single source and makes wind energy safer, more efficient and more economical.”
The launch comes as Germany’s onshore fleet ages and repowering, life-extension and performance monitoring become a larger share of the market for technical services. WindEnergy Hamburg, the industry’s main trade fair, takes place from 22 to 25 September.
