PGE Baltica, the PGE Group’s offshore wind subsidiary, is moving its registered office from Warsaw to Gdańsk. The company said the step reflects its shift from preparing projects to building them and, later, managing the assets.

PGE Baltica has had an office in Gdańsk for several years, now employing more than 50 people, mostly engineers and local content specialists who work with the Polish supply chain. The company said the team’s importance will grow as its projects progress. It will keep a presence in Warsaw to stay in contact with central government, financial institutions and the PGE Group.

Bartosz Fedurek, president of the management board of PGE Baltica, said the company wants to be as close as possible to where its assets are built and operated, and close to the firms forming the domestic offshore supply chain. He added that local content and a strong national base for the sector are key to lasting economic value in Poland.

Dariusz Lubera, president of the management board of PGE, said Pomerania is now the centre of Polish offshore wind and that proximity to partners, ports and construction facilities should help deliver strategic investments in the Baltic. He said PGE Baltica is developing Poland’s largest portfolio of offshore wind projects and one of the larger ones in Europe.

Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, mayor of Gdańsk, welcomed the decision, calling offshore wind one of the biggest economic opportunities for the city and the wider Pomerania region. The move was marked at a ceremony in Gdańsk on 19 October 2026.
