The Baltica 2 offshore wind farm being built by PGE and Ørsted has signed a contract with Ayesa Polska. The main tasks of the contractor in this area are to provide investor supervision for the entire offshore part of the project, including, among others, the installation process of turbines, foundations, export cables and offshore transformer stations.
The Baltica 2 offshore wind farm will be commissioned in 2027. Preparation of the seabed for the start of offshore construction begins later this year. Construction work on the onshore connection infrastructure in the municipality of Choczewo has already been underway since mid-2024. With 1.5 GW of capacity, Baltica 2 will be able to provide clean electricity from Baltic wind to around 2.5 million customers.
