The company, which is a leader in the construction of renewable energy sources in Poland, will be headed by an experienced manager Paweł Przybylski.
– We are at the historically best moment for the ONDE company. Cable pooling, energy storages, liberalisation of the distance law and huge funds from National Recovery Plan (KPO) for energy transformation in Poland and Europe are just some of the arguments that the RES market will grow rapidly. I am glad that we are joined by an experienced manager, proficient in the RES market in Europe, whose vast knowledge and professionalism will contribute to increasing the value of the company, says Jacek Leczkowski, Chairman of the ONDE Supervisory Board and Vice-President of ERBUD Group.
ONDE has had an excellent last year and an even better start to 2024. The company’s net profit in 2023 with similar revenues grew more than 3.5 times, while operating profit increased by 121% year-on-year. In addition, in the first quarter of this year alone, the company sold three photovoltaic projects and one wind project with a total potential of 60.5 MW, and further negotiation processes are underway. The company expects to double its development portfolio to a target of 1.6-1.8 GW within 2-3 years.
– I am entering a strong company with a strong reputation in the RES market, whose impressive growth I have observed for years. Favourable circumstances make the successes to date seem like the beginning of a new chapter in its history. Everything points to the fact that a company with such strong competences and vast experience will become a beneficiary of the upcoming energy transition and an active participant in the European RES market. I am happy with the role entrusted to me, says Paweł Przybylski, the new CEO of ONDE.
Paweł Przybylski is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics with a degree in Finance and Banking. For more than 20 years he was associated with the Siemens Group in Poland and Germany. In recent years, he has specialised in the renewable energy market by holding the positions of managing director and director of offshore wind sales at Siemens Gamesa, where he oversaw the Polish market and the Baltic countries. Siemens Gamesa is one of the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturers.
At ONDE, he will hold the position of CEO. The current CEO Paweł Średniawa is staying on at the company in the rank of vice-president and will be responsible for the finance area.
– I would like to thank the supervisory board and shareholders for their trust so far. I am proud of where the company is today. It faces new challenges and great opportunities. In my role as Vice-President I will, above all, shape and implement the Group’s financial policy and support the new President, with whom I have known for years, in the development of ONDE, says Paweł Średniawa.
