German renewable energy developer UKA has completed the sale of the Vietlübbe wind farm in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, marking its third wind project transaction in 2026. The wind farm comprises 14 turbines of the latest generation with a combined capacity of around 80 MW, which reached full commercial operation in November 2025.
Earlier in 2026, UKA sold the Görzig wind farm (approximately 20 MW) and the Niederasphe wind farm (approximately 28 MW). Together, the three projects sold this year have a combined capacity sufficient, on a net basis, to supply more than 100,000 three-person households with renewable electricity.
“We are pleased to have successfully completed our third transaction in 2026 with Vietlübbe wind farm. This demonstrates that UKA has the expertise and execution capability to close major projects to a high standard, even in challenging market phases,” said Stefan Kath, Managing Director for Operations at UKA.
UKA currently has wind energy projects totalling 1.6 GW under construction. In parallel, the company has launched a tender process for the sale of six further ready-to-build wind energy projects in Germany with a combined capacity of approximately 326 MW, all currently under construction or in pre-construction preparation, with commissioning expected by early 2027 at the latest. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Meißen, UKA has more than 25 years of experience in renewable energy development and a global project pipeline of around 19 GW across wind and solar.
