Baltic Power, operator of Poland’s first offshore wind farm, has launched its initial recruitment drive for the operational phase of the 1.2 GW project, with most positions based at the company’s service base in Łeba on the Polish Baltic coast.
The Łeba base has been supporting the ongoing installation campaign since spring 2025, coordinating a fleet of approximately 80 ships and 4,500 crew members and contractor representatives. Up to 20 vessels work daily in a marine area covering more than 130 km², with crew transfer vessels (CTVs) departing the quay daily — a jetty that was a public promenade just three years ago.
As the construction phase nears completion — scheduled for the second half of 2026 — the base is now preparing for roughly three decades of ongoing operations. Ultimately, the Łeba facility will employ around 40 Baltic Power staff and more than 50 contractor personnel. Positions now open include Marine Coordinator, Site Operation Lead, and Operational Controller, all based in Łeba, as well as Performance Engineer and Contract and Risk Manager roles in Warsaw.
Baltic Power will be the first offshore wind farm to supply Poland with electricity from the sea. At full capacity, the farm will produce approximately 4 TWh of electricity per year — enough to power over 1.5 million households and cover around 3 per cent of Poland’s current national electricity demand. Further job postings will follow as the transition from construction to operations continues.
