‘BHS Logistics has bought the buildings because we believe in the opportunities offered by the wind turbine projects in the Baltic Sea. Bornholm is developing rapidly in terms of wind turbine projects shipped via Rønne Harbour, and we believe these opportunities will only increase in the coming years. That’s why we’re expanding our business opportunities,’ says CEO Morten Studsgaard.
‘We are experiencing an increased interest in storage capacity, but also increasingly in office space for companies directly linked to the offshore projects. The buildings we have purchased offer exactly what we have been looking for, with offices, changing facilities and storage capacity in very close proximity to the wind turbine projects. It was an obvious opportunity, and we look forward to getting a lot of new activity into the buildings,’ says Klaus Vesløv, General Manager of Ports & Offshore Logistics at BHS.
We believe in Bornholm, and have done so since 1946
As a company, we have our roots on Bornholm and have been an active part of Bornholm’s social development since 1946. We will continue to be in all our business areas.
BHS saw the opportunities in the wind turbine projects early on and co-founded Offshore Centre Bornholm (OCB), and has since the very first projects been involved in the tasks associated with the wind projects in the Baltic Sea.
‘With the purchase of the new buildings, we continue our development and build a further level of our business, and can now offer both transport & logistics solutions, storage facilities, stevedoring, ship agency, and shared office space,’ concludes Director Morten Studsgaard.
