The Future Energy Congress, organized by a Polish association “Z energią o prawie” (“With energy about law”), will be held in Torun on April 16-17, 2024. This will be the third edition of this event, which has become a permanent fixture on the calendar of key events in the energy sector. BalticWind.EU is a media patron of the event. One of the debates will be devoted to the future of offshore wind energy.

The third edition of the event focuses on current issues related to the evaluation of recent legislative changes, Poland’s energy security, renewable energy sources, industry transformation and the future shape of the energy market. The issues raised at the Congress will also directly touch on the country’s energy policy and harmonization of Polish law with global legal practice of the renewable energy sector. Industry experts, including lawyers, economists and analysts, have been invited to discuss the future of the energy sector.

Experienced experts representing entities actively developing offshore projects in Poland and around the world will participate in the discussion on the future of offshore wind energy. Among them will be Aleksandra Jampolska of Ocean Winds, Kamil Kobylinski of Total Energies, Paweł Przybylski of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Katarzyna Suchcicka of OX2 and Piotr Tomczyk of ENPROM. Paweł Wróbel of BalticWind.EU will moderate the debate. Topics to be discussed will include the support necessary for further development of offshore wind energy, strategies for the implementation of offshore projects in Phase II, and development plans for Phase III. The panel will also serve as a forum to share experiences from the first offshore projects.

During the two days of the Future Energy Congress, the organizers also plan to hold workshops and roundtables. The main intention of the workshops will be to introduce the problems of selected topics and propose an optimal method for solving them.
