ENERTRAG Service has opened a new central warehouse and training facility, called the “Speicher”, at its Energiecampus Dauerthal in the Uckermark, Brandenburg. Despite the name, which is German for storehouse, it is not an electricity storage project: it holds spare parts and passes on know-how for servicing wind turbines.
The site combines a central warehouse, workshops and training rooms. The warehouse stocks components, spare parts and tools, from small items to large assemblies, and has operated since March 2026. The training centre has been in use since August 2026. ENERTRAG says short distances and quick availability of parts will cut response times for turbines in the region and beyond.
Around 50 service technicians are expected to work at the site, and ENERTRAG Service currently trains twelve apprentices there. Its programme also covers career changers and regular further training for experienced staff, a response to the sector’s growing demand for skilled workers. The State of Brandenburg supported the project through the Brandenburg Investment Bank with around EUR 1.5 million.
Brandenburg’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Climate Protection and Europe, Martina Klement, said the opening showed the company taking responsibility through investment, training and new structures. Jan Neuhann, managing director of ENERTRAG Service GmbH, said the site brings parts, knowledge and training together in one place.
Skilled labour and spare-parts logistics are recurring constraints across the Baltic Sea region’s wind sector. Service hubs of this kind, close to the turbines, are one way operators are addressing both.
