The countdown has begun for one of the most significant pan-Baltic cooperation events of the year: the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) Annual Forum 2025.
The event is set to take place on 29–30 October in Sopot, Poland, gathering policymakers, experts, and practitioners to address the most pressing issues facing the region.
Securing the Future in Uncertain Times
This year’s forum is themed “Securing the Future: Stronger Together – Building Stability in Times of Uncertainty.” The event comes at a period of significant regional and global change, and will tackle the crucial question of what actions are necessary to build stability and a prosperous future across geopolitical, economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
The EUSBSR Annual Forum is essential for advancing the Strategy’s goals, bringing together stakeholders from ministries, local governments, academia, NGOs, and the EU to collaborate on regional challenges.
Focusing on Key Priorities
The program will explore the concept of “Securing the Future” through the lens of the EUSBSR’s three key priorities:
- Save the Sea: Discussions will focus on achieving good environmental health, including reducing pollution, protecting biodiversity, and promoting a circular economy.
- Connect the Region: Sessions will address energy security and the development of resilient infrastructure.
- Increase Prosperity: This priority will emphasize workforce development, education, and green innovation to ensure economic and social resilience, alongside strengthening regional identity through culture and tourism.
Attendees can look forward to a dynamic agenda featuring high-level plenaries, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities. The goal is to encourage collaboration on strategies that enhance resilience and sustainability in a changing world.
The event is hosted by the Pomorskie Voivodeship and organized in collaboration with the Council of the Baltic Sea States Secretariat (CBSS) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
The EUSBSR Annual Forum 2025 is a key platform for leaders to collectively shape the future of the Baltic Sea Region.
