Nordex Group has secured orders from German developer Westfälisch-Niedersächsische Energie GmbH & Co. KG (WNE) for 12 wind turbines totalling 82 MW across three projects in North Rhine-Westphalia. The turbines — all N175/6.X models — will be installed at hub heights of 179 metres and are set to begin construction in mid-2027.
The three projects are Dringenberg (seven turbines), Gehrden Ost (three turbines), and Gehrden Fölsen (two turbines), all located in Kreis Höxter. Each order includes a 20-year Premium Service contract.
The awards extend a long-standing relationship between WNE and Nordex. In March 2026, WNE ordered three N175/6.X turbines for the Marienmünster-Altenbergen wind farm — the first Nordex installation using a hub height of 199 metres.
“We are pleased to be making another important contribution to the energy transition in Europe together with Nordex,” said Alexander Möhring, Managing Director of WNE.
Nordex Group has installed over 64 GW of wind capacity across more than 40 markets since its founding in 1985, and reported revenues of approximately €7.6 billion in 2025.
