The Nordex Group has received orders from wind companies ENOVA and BMR energy solutions to supply and build 30 turbines totalling more than 197 MW across Germany. The projects, awarded at the end of June, are spread across Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and North Rhine-Westphalia, and each contract includes a 20-year premium service agreement.

The largest single project is a 68 MW repowering scheme in the Boldecker Land region of Lower Saxony, where ENOVA will install ten N163/6.X turbines. Construction is due to start in the fourth quarter of 2027, with commissioning expected in early 2028. In Schleswig-Holstein, Nordex will supply ENOVA six N149/5.X turbines totalling 34.2 MW, with a build start in early 2028.

Two further projects in North Rhine-Westphalia — Nettetal and Breberen — were originally developed by BMR energy solutions. For Nettetal, sold by BMR to ENOVA, Nordex will provide five N163/6.X turbines. At Breberen, ENOVA and BMR are working jointly on a repowering scheme that replaces older machines with nine more powerful N163/6.X turbines. Construction on both begins in October 2027.

“These projects mark the next milestone in the development of our wind farm portfolio,” said Hendrik Böschen, Chief Operations Officer of ENOVA. Nordex’s Karsten Brüggemann pointed to long-standing ties with BMR and a deepening relationship with ENOVA as “a strong sign of trust.” ENOVA, one of Germany’s larger onshore operators with 1 GW in its portfolio, aims to reach 3 GW by the end of 2030.

The cluster of repowering and greenfield orders underlines a steady flow of onshore work in Germany, the Baltic Sea region’s largest wind market, even as the industry presses Berlin for clearer rules on auctions and grid connections.
