The 9th Seminar of the renewed format of the Polish Offshore Wind Industry Chamber – is behind us. OFFSHORE Academy® powered by Orlen Neptun sp. z o.o. The topic of last week’s event, held in Gdansk, was: “Laying and servicing of submarine cables”. The meeting was held under the auspices of NKT S.A.
Experts from Poland and abroad shared knowledge
After a long break, the OFFSHORE Academy®, the format of meetings for practitioners implemented so far by Polish Offshore Wind Energy Society (PTMEW), returned to the calendar of offshore wind industry events. The new installment of the Academy, already organized under the banner of the Polish Chamber of Offshore Wind Energy (PIMEW), had Orlen Neptun Sp. z o. o. as its titular partner. The series of seminars in 2024 will be organized under the name Academy Offshore® powered by Orlen Neptun.

During the last seminar on laying and servicing submarine cables, lectures were given by NKT specialists Jakub Vastmans and Fredric Holmgren. The great interest in the seminar, and last-minute participants joining the lecture hall, proved that continous exchange of experience between practitioners is important for the development of offshore wind energy in Poland. As usual, the seminar formula was an excellent opportunity for effective networking.
The next seminars of the OFFSHORE® Academy will be held in June, September and November 2024. Their topics will be closely related to current developments in the Polish offshore wind energy market, especially in the area of implementation of the so-called Phase I projects. PIMEW’s plans for the coming year include dividing the classes conducted within the OFFSHORE® Academy into individual thematic areas and increasing the frequency of the Seminars.
