WindEurope is again backing Cycling4Climate, a Dutch non-profit foundation that raises awareness of climate action through cycling events across Europe. Two Climate Classic rides are scheduled for September 2026, and the association is inviting members of the wind community to take part.

The first ride takes place on 12 September in Brussels, Belgium, offering 60 km and 150 km routes as well as a running option this year. The second is on 19 September in Szczecin, Poland, with 47 km and 85 km routes crossing the Western Pomerania region. Participants are asked to make a climate pledge; organisers stress the rally is not a race but a shared effort.

Routes run through the countryside of Wallonia and Flanders in Belgium and Western Pomerania in Poland, passing wind farms along the way. Riders can register individually or form teams, and organisers are also seeking event partners.

For the Polish leg, the event is coordinated with the Polish Wind Energy Association (PSEW); enquiries go to Ada Siatkowska (a.siatkowska@psew.pl), while the Belgian ride is handled by Climate Classic (info@climateclassic.be). “Enjoy the summer and we hope to see you at one of the Cycling4Climate events in September,” said Malgosia Bartosik, Deputy CEO of WindEurope.
