WindEurope’s annual Technology Workshop will take place on 11 and 12 June 2026 in Rotterdam, bringing together more than 450 industry professionals to examine how data analytics can improve the performance of wind farms. The event, now in its 15th year, focuses on wind resource assessment and the analysis of operating wind farms.
The programme covers a broad range of technical topics, including LiDAR measurements, wind farm control, aerodynamic modelling, annual energy production (AEP) validation, wake effects, curtailment, fault detection, lifetime assessment, and wind power forecasting. More than 70 technical posters will be on display, giving delegates the opportunity to engage directly with researchers.
The workshop also features the final results of the WILLOW project, a European research initiative developing technologies for health monitoring, remaining lifetime assessment, and integrated control systems for wind operators. An afternoon session hosted by EMD International will focus on optimisation tools for wind farm design and hybrid energy business cases.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Technology Workshop series. Registration is open at windeurope.org/tech2026.
