The Nordex Group has won a further order in the United States for wind turbines with a total capacity of 325 megawatts. The contract covers 55 turbines of the N163/5.X type. The company did not disclose the customer or the project name.
“Helping to shape a strong, locally anchored US energy sector and serving our customers with ‘Made in USA’ products manufactured in Iowa and based on proven technology is a real privilege for us,” said Manav Sharma, chief executive of Nordex North America. The manufacturer said its Delta4000 platform offers a reliable and efficient solution for large-scale wind projects in North America, helping customers optimise energy yield across varying site conditions.
Nordex operates production sites in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India and the United States, with the turbines for this order built in Iowa. Its product range focuses on onshore machines in the 4-to-7-megawatt-plus classes, designed for markets with limited space and constrained grid capacity.
Since its founding in 1985, the group has installed more than 64 gigawatts of wind capacity across over 40 markets and reported group sales of around 7.6 billion euros in 2025. The order underlines continued demand for onshore wind in the US even amid shifting policy conditions — a market dynamic closely watched by European suppliers, including those serving the Baltic region.
