WindEurope launches on demand video platform Windflix

Today WindEurope, the leading wind power business association in Europe representing over 400 members from 50 countries, launched a new on-demand video platform that will focus on a variety of wind industry related topics. Study: Natural Hazards and Extreme Events in the Baltic Sea region

The new study "Natural Hazards and Extreme Events in the Baltic Sea region" that is currently being reviewed as preprint by the European Geosciences Union summarises existing knowledge of extreme events in the Baltic Sea region with the focus on the past 200 years, as well as future climate scenarios. Natural hazards and extreme events may have severe implications on society including threats to human life, economic losses and damaged ecosystems. Tomorrow is Global Wind Day – we did an overview of past activities

Tomorrow the worldwide wind energy community will celebrate Global Wind Day. The event inaugurated as Wind Day in 2007 initially reached 18 countries in Europe, with a participation of around 35,000 people. The main idea behind this celebration was to coordinate events organised by wind energy associations and companies active in the wind energy field in Europe. Today Global Wind Day is a worldwide event held each year on June 15. It is organised by WindEurope and the Global Wind Energy Council.
